Pre-filming Preparation

Before jumping into filming, I had to go through several important steps to ensure everything was well prepared.

Finalizing the Script

The first step was refining my script. After making a few adjustments based on the location and practicality, I locked in the final version. This ensured that everything was clear, from dialogue to scene transitions.

Storyboarding & Shot List

To visualize my scenes, I created a storyboard and a detailed shot list. This helped me plan my camera angles, movements, and framing in advance. Having a clear guide ensured I wouldn't miss any important shots on the day of filming. I also made a clapperboard because it was definetely neccessary and totally not because i wanted to act like those flashy directors :))

(I’m super proud of this🤧)

Costumes & Props

Costume selection was an important step in maintaining the film’s visual consistency. I carefully chose outfits that suited each character’s personality and the film’s tone. Along with this, I gathered all necessary props that would enhance the realism of my scenes, like a broken mirror, bright dupatta, newspapers with headlines, an actual goats head!?

Equipment Check & Technical Setup

To avoid technical difficulties during filming, I tested all equipment beforehand. This included checking the camera settings, gimbal battery and settings, tripod stability and lighting equipment.

(Now that everything was prepared, the real challenge was about to begin..... filming! Stay tuned for my next post on how the shoot went.)
